Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T

I wanted to share some things that I have been loving over the past week. My weekly report, what I am reading, eating, playing, obsessing, recommending and treating. I hope that you like this series, if so be sure to heart or leave a comment below so I can give you more roundups!

Reading:

I am currently reading Iron Flame by Rececca Yaros. This is the second book in the series. Read the description here, “Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College—Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky.

Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Although Violet’s body might be weaker and frailer than everyone else’s, she still has her wits—and a will of iron. And leadership is forgetting the most important lesson Basgiath has taught her: Dragon riders make their own rules.

But a determination to survive won’t be enough this year.

Because Violet knows the real secret hidden for centuries at Basgiath War College—and nothing, not even dragon fire, may be enough to save them in the end.”

I read the first book so fast and once finished could not wait to start the second. Apparently this is a 5 part series and I already can’t wait to read more.

Eating:

As you know I am gluten-free and I love finding new gluten free finds. I seriously love these cookies from Sweet Loren’s. These cookies are so easy to make, literally pop them into the oven for about 12 or so minutes and they are done! They do not taste dry like some gluten free cookies. They have a great texture, and do not break apart or crumble. My gluten eating boyfriend likes these too.

Playing:

So ya’ll know I am not a hair girlie. Give me makeup and I can do that pretty well, but hair, it is just not my strength (unless I just use my Dyson). But I have been playing with cut little bows in my hair! It’s an easy way to spruce up your hair, these are just clips, you can buy them here.

Obsessing:

I remember these nails being such a trend a few years ago, then they became out of fashion. I recently saw these on Pinterest while searching for some inspo and I just re fell in love. They seriously look SO classy I just had to give them a try. So glad that I did because they just look so good! They look really natural, and I just love the short square nail shape.

Recommending:

So I saw this from another creator and I loved this idea so much. Creator is Mary Skinner. So I saw this from another creator and I loved this idea so much. Creator is Mary Skinner. Get a recipe book, I got mine from here
Then fill it with family recipes, ever better if that family member can write the recipe in themselves. I actually got some great recipes from my grandma, and I am looking to get my mom to write some in too (mom if you’re reading it’s coming your way). The one I have breaks down, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and treats and each section has a page at the beginning where you can put the dishes name. Truly it makes such a great gift to pass on for generations which can hold some family staples

Treating:

Lastly, treating. Last week was a rough one, so ending the week off right with some flowers from Whole foods and a nice bottle of champagne that is ready to be cracked open.

What are some things you are: reading, eating, playing, obsessing, recommending and treating yourself to? I’d love to hear your weekly R.E.P.O.R.T too!
