Weekly REPORT

Reading:
I am still reading the book Things We Hide from the Light (Knockemout Series, 2) by Lucy Score. I started this book a few months back, and while I love reading, I was having a difficult time with this second book. I am making it my goal to finish this book by the end of this month. I finished the first book in this series so fast, it was one of my favorites, and I already have the third book of this series in my collection.
Read the excerpt from Amazon below:

“Nash Morgan was always known as the good Morgan brother, with a smile and a wink for everyone. But now, this chief of police is recovering from being shot and his Southern charm has been overshadowed by panic attacks and nightmares. He feels like a broody shell of the man he once was. Nash isn’t about to let anyone in his life know he’s struggling. But his new next-door neighbor, smart and sexy Lina, sees his shadows. As a rule, she’s not a fan of physical contact unless she initiates it, but for some reason Nash’s touch is different. He feels it too. The physical connection between them is incendiary, grounding him and making her wonder if exploring it is worth the risk.

Too bad Lina’s got secrets of her own, and if Nash finds out the real reason she’s in town, he’ll never forgive her. Besides, she doesn’t do relationships. Ever. A hot, short-term fling with a local cop? Absolutely. Sign her up. A relationship with a man who expects her to plant roots? No freaking way. Once she gets what she’s after, she has no intention of sticking around. But Knockemout has a way of getting under people’s skin. And once Nash decides to make Lina his, he’s not about to be dissuaded…even if it means facing the danger that nearly killed him.”

Eating:
Gene got me hooked on the Chipotle bacon ranch sub and the Buffalo chicken sub from Jersey Mikes. I get them with gluten-free bread, but oh my gosh these things were so fricken good! I wish I took a photo of these sandwiches, but I really just scarfed them down because they were so good! The buffalo one had a bit of a kick but it wasn’t too spicy. I never go to Jersey Mikes for hot sandwiches, but these sandwiches have changed my mind!

Playing:
I have been playing around with jewelry! I’ve been trying to find great pieces to wear everyday, that don’t tarnish. I love finding pieces I can wear 24/7. I’ve been looking into Etsy pieces, Kendra Scott and a few other online stores. I’ve been experimenting with mixing metals, and seeing what looks cute! I’ll share some of my most worn pieces soon.

Obsessing:
One thing about me is I have a TON of makeup. I love changing up my makeup looks, and doing things differently each day. I love trying different ways of using makeup, finishing with a cream instead of powder, going for more of a dewy look. Needless to say, trying out all of these items makes my everyday makeup collection pretty big, which then makes me need a big makeup bag! I found the perfect makeup bag. This big bag is sold on Amazon and can hold your brushes. It has a big compartment in the middle, and then also has two side compartments and one large compartment in the front too.

Recommending:
I’ve had the Oura ring for about 3 weeks so far and I love this ring so much. This ring track’s your blood oxygen, hours slept, resting heart rate, skin temperature, and steps taken. It takes all of that into account and gives you a readiness score for the day, Your readiness score is out of 100, and essentially lets you know how your body is doing and if you should prioritize rest, listen to your body, or fully give the day your all. This ring has helped me learn so much about my body and my health. I look forward to looking at my scores every morning. One thing to note is that the ring does run small, so I recommend going into your local best buy and trying the ring sizer to see what size you are. Buy it here

Treating:
I have been treating myself to a good manicure the past two months. I know I love doing my nails at home, but it’s just fun to treat yourself! I wanted to treat myself to the holidays, and new years nails, and now with my birthday and Valentine’s day coming up I am continuing this trend. Take a look at my latest nail look. I decided I wanted to try the viral cat eye effect and I am loving it. It just adds such a fun sparkle to any outfit. This is SNS, with the cat eye polish on top.
