If you guys have been following me for awhile you know my skin has been going through it! I mean it, I’ve been breaking out, and oily/dry. I went on medication prescribed by my dermatologist, and changed up my skincare routine, and my prescribed medications a few times over the past year.

I don’t want to jinx myself, but for the past week, I have switched out my moisturizer, toner, and exfoliator, for Dermalogica’s brand of moisturizer, toner, and exfoliator. I decided I wanted to try something new after my skin started to become SUPER oily. I have also started to breakout more and I was not sure why.

I chose Dermalogica because I know of a lot of people who swear by it. Yes, I know they are on the pricey side but I would rather spend the money on my skincare and see a difference.

Instead of purchasing big size items I went ahead and purchased the trial size of the Dermalogica Normal/Oily Skin Regimen Kit.

It is described as, “This kit for normal/oily skin contains a complete product regimen to help reduce control excess oil in the t-zone while hydrating for balanced skin.”

It is a $70.50 USD Value and I got it for $39 USD

Normal/Oily Skin Regimen Kit includes:

• Special Cleansing Gel: Gentle foaming cleanser (1.7 oz.)
• Multi-Active Toner: Hydrating, refreshing spritz (1.7 oz.)
• Skin Prep Scrub: Skin-polishing exfoliant (0.75 oz.)
• Active Moist: Light, oil-free moisturizer (0.75 oz.)
• Total Eye Care with SPF15: Illuminating eye brightener (0.008 oz.)

How to Use

Special Cleansing Gel: Gently lather a small amount of gel on moistened hands. Apply to dampened face and throat. Rinse with warm water and repeat for professional cleaning results.

Skin Prep Scrub: Apply to clean face and throat, avoiding the eye area. Massage gently, then rise thoroughly with warm water. For lighter daily exfoliation, mix with a Dermalogica cleanser. As a more intensified exfoliant, allow to activate 10 minutes before rinsing. Use three times a week. Follow with a Dermalogica masque or moisturizer.

Multi-Active Toner: Apply after cleansing by spraying directly over the entire face and throat. Can also be sprayed onto fingertips or cotton pad and applied to the skin with light, upward strokes. Immediately follow with Dermalogica booster or moisturizer.

Skin Prep Scrub: Apply to clean face and throat, avoiding the eye area. Massage gently, then rise thoroughly with warm water. For lighter daily exfoliation, mix with a Dermalogica cleanser. As a more intensified exfoliant, allow to activate 10 minutes before rinsing. Use three times a week. Follow with a Dermalogica masque or moisturizer.

Total Eye Care with SPF15: Gently pat around entire eye area, blending inward from outer corner of eye. Use daily under make-up or alone. For external use only

What I do:
So what I do every night is I take off my makeup, then I wash my face with the Special
Cleansing Gel, then pat my skin dry, then spray the toner on my face. I then brush my teeth while that dries, and then I put on my acne medication and then use the Multi-Active Toner, then put on some eye cream. I don’t use the total eye care yet, I am fishing up my opened eye cream.

Then every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday I do the same routine but I just exfoliate my skin with the exfoliator that comes in the box.

Then every morning I just use the moisturizer after my acne creams!

My thoughts:

So after using this for about a week I realized my skin isn’t breaking out as bad anymore! My acne has gone down a lot! I also realized I am not as oily! I have been trying to use different foundations too, some that aren’t as matte as my others and I don’t have to blot as often as I did before!

My final verdict:

If you’re oily, or even break out often give this set a try! For the price is lasts about a month! I give this a 5/5. It hasn’t been that long but I see a huge difference in my skin!
