Have you guys heard of “Color Of The Year”? To be honest, I always heard about it, but I NEVER paid attention to it, until this year. Pantone’s color of the year goes to, Living Coral, and to be honest, I love this color!

It is a shade of orange with a golden undertone.

Basically, Pantone has a group of people who analyze colors, and they look at the way companies use colors in their ads and such, and this year? Living Coral won.

What does this mean?
You are going to be seeing this color around a lot. It will be used for consumer products and designs created for clients. You will be seeing this a lot in ads, fashion and probably even makeup. This is going to be the hit color of the year.

How can you incorporate it into your makeup?
This is probably what I am most excited for! This is such a fun way to incorporate color into your makeup, especially if you are a little color shy like I can be.

Eyeshadow:
I actually have this eyeshadow palette and I am SO obsessed with it. This palette has gorgeous, pigmented and easy to blend shades, it is the Ace Beauty Grandiose Eyeshadow Palette. You can buy it here for $24.99 USD.

Another palette that has gorgeous coral shades is the Colorpop Sol Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette. I don’t have this palette but I have heard amazing reviews on it! You can buy it here for only $12 USD.

Blush:
A blush trio that has a coral feel to it, but isn’t exactly Living Coral, is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Peachy Love Blush Trio. These blushes have a peach theme and offer a matte and shimmery finish. I have this palette and I am obsessed with it. They are the perfect but subtle way to add some of the coral colors to your makeup. you can purchase it here. It retails for $30 USD.

Another blush you can check out is the Colorpop Just Dew It Blush + Highlight Duo. I love how this blush comes with a highlighter! The colors are very coral and just look like the perfect way to add some color to your cheeks. You can check it out here for $16 USD.

Lipstick:
This one is more of a lip balm but hey, it still works. This is the Flesh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 in the shade Sugar Coral Tinted. You can buy it here, for $24 USD. The good thing about this lip balm is that if you want intense color, just go over your lips a bit more!

If you want a lipstick then the Tom Ford Naked Coral Lip Color is for you. It is a bit pricy, it runs for $55 USD and you can get it here. But, these lipsticks are SUPER creamy and go on very smooth!

Another lipstick that isn’t as pricey as the Tom Ford one is the Tarte
Quench Lip Rescue Balm – Rainforest of the Sea™ Collection in the shade Coral. This lippie does have a high shine finish, but it can be found here and it retails for $19.90.

Lipgloss:
If you’re a huge plumping lip gloss fan then you’re going to be so excited to hear this, Butter London has a Plush Rush lipgloss. They paired up with Pantone to make the color of the year. This lipgloss retails for $20 USD and you can buy it here. It is extremely shiny.

Another lipgloss I have for you, that is NOT plumping is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Girly Lip Gloss. This is a high finish, sparkling pink gloss with a coral reflect in it. This retails for $16 USD and you can buy it here.

Something else you can check out is the Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Duo in the shade Perk- Coral. As the title reads you can use this for your lips as a tint or on your cheeks as a blush, how cool is that?! It has a nice satin finish. You can buy that here for $24 USD.

Nailpolish:
A fun way to spruce up any outfit is with nail polish! Butter London came out with a specific Living Color color. You can buy it here. This color gives you up to 10 days of wear! How cool is that? It retails for $12 USD.

How can you incorporate it into your clothes or style? I don’t wear super bright colors, but sometimes its fun to incorporate some brightly colored pieces into your wardrobe. Read on to check out some fun pieces, all in the gorgeous Coral shade.

Coat:
ASOS had a coral coat, that isn’t as “deep” as the Living Coral color, but this one sure is close. The ASOS Ruffle Neck Skater Coat is so cute and can be found here for $30.50 USD.

Another jacket that is similar to the Living Coral color is this Bagatelle Perforated Faux Leather Peplum Jacket. This can be found here for $118 USD.

This jacket reminds me of a windbreaker and I’m totally loving the color. This Meadowland Track Jacket can be found here on Urban Outfitters for $79 USD. It has white, tan and coral colors making it SUPER easy to pair with.

Another coat that I am loving is this, ASOS Crepe Pocket Detail Coat. It is more of a pinky coral, but I am still obsessing over it. It has a single button and a deep V neck. You can get this for $55 USD here.

A cute jean like jacket that is similar to the Living Coral color is this GanniSalvia Flap Pocket Suede Jacket. You can find it here for $248 USD.

Earrings:
This pair of Rachel ComeyEmory Earrings is just so cute. It is a nice coral color, I feel like it’s perfect, jeans, flats, a white t-shirt, and these cute earrings. You can find it here for $125 USD.

Bag:
This Quilted Chevron Crossbody Bag is the perfect bag. It’s small and goes right over your body giving you two free hands. I love the chevron design and the quilted texture. The chain strap really adds texture too! This bag can be found for only $12.72 here on Forever 21’s website.

Guess has another cute bag that is similar to the Forever 21 one. It has a quilted design, a chain strap, and lines that overlay on each other, not quite the chevron pattern. You can buy it here for $49.9 USD.

Dress:

Shirt:
T-shirts are such a staple in any wardrobe. Urban Outfitters has a cute coral The Little Brother Crew-Neck Tee that you can buy for $10 USD, here.

Pants:
I feel like I would totally rock these jeans. It’s such a fun, yet casual way to add in color. You can buy it here for $12.99 USD. These jeans are ankle length and have a slim fit.

Jumpsuit:
The second I saw this Vince Camuto Tie Front Wide Leg Jumpsuit, I fell in love. This is the perfect outfit for a wedding, or even if you have business attire at work, just throw a cardigan over it. Shoes:
I love wearing bright shoes, or just nice shoes in general, so finding coral colored shoes was so much fun for me. ASOS DESIGN Pebble Extra Wide Fit Pointed High Heels are just perfect! They have a thick heel so it is easy to walk in and they have a wide pointed toe (extra points for the wide part because my toes always get squished in pointed toes) These beauties retail for $20 USD right now and you can buy them here.
