So I recently tried out a new beauty sponge because  I put my old Real Techniques Beauty Sponge in the grave. I used to have the diamond shape sponge from Real Techniques and I used it everyday until the end. It’s seriously my favorite. But it did run the end of it’s course.

I decided to go ahead and try the ELF Beauty Sponges and to be honest…. I hate it.

Elf products are either a hit or a miss with me, and this was a huge miss. I bought a pack of 3 different beauty sponges in 3 different sizes.

It has a white color and an egg like shape.

This is literally the hardest beauty sponge ever! I used it with and without water and its so hard!! I feel like it soaks up a lot of foundation as well.

I had to use twice as much foundation than I usually do. I measure it with pumps. I also had to go over the area around my nose with my hands because it just would not cover. It was super hard to get in the corner of my eyes. The shape just was not there.

I tried baking with this too and its just such a weird, hard shape that it wasn’t picking up a lot of powder, making baking pretty hard too.

Overall if you’re looking for a Beauty Sponge, go with Real Techniques! These are some of the worst sponges I have used in a very long time.
