I have been wanting long eye-lashes forever. I do have nice eyelashes now, but I just wanted to be extra. I have my cousins wedding coming up in November and just wanted to be a little bit more glam, so I decided to try eyelash extensions now to see how I’ll like them.

And boy do I love them.  ALS has 4 different styles of lashes:

Gorgeous Lashes: This style features longer and thicker eyelash extensions along the entire lash line. With longer, fuller lashes all over, you will always be red-carpet ready.

Sexy Lashes: This style features eyelash extensions that are longer on the outside edge of the eyes. Longer lashes on the outside corner of your eye will make every wink count.

Cute Lashes: Big bright eyes can be yours! This style uses longer eyelash extensions at the center of your lash line to make your eyes appear longer.

Natural Lashes: You… only better. Longer eyelash extensions tapered to follow your existing lash line and enhance the natural shape of your eyes. 

For my first time getting my lashes done I did the “Natural” set. I figured this would be a good way to ease into lashes and to see if I like them. The application process took about 1.5 hours. Which basically consisted of me sitting there trying not to move.  You have to go back every 2.5-3 weeks if you want to keep your lashes maintained.

There are a few rules to follow after you get your lashes done too. For the first 48 hours, you cannot get your lashes wet. You have to sleep on your side, and you cannot use any eye-makeup. Also, avoid rubbing your eyes and try to sleep without rubbing your eyelashes against the pillow.  After that, you wash your lashes 2x a day and comb through them 2x a day with a spoolie. I bought the eyelash cleaner sold by ALS, which is the Eyelash Foaming Cleanser.  It is specially formulated to be tough on dirt and gentle on your lash extensions, this lightweight foaming cleanser is essential for keeping lashes their cleanest. It retails for $20 USD. I just a pump of this every morning and night and go in a downward direction and clean from my brow bone to cheekbone.

Now my lashes look so full, long, and they curl. I want to try the “sexy” style next for the bridal shower I have to go to, and then the “gorgeous” style for the wedding.

So my lashes look so long without hitting my glasses, they are thick and full without looking fake at all. To be honest, taking them off is going to be so difficult. because I am already attached.  I love waking up in the morning and just brushing my lashes. Going mascara-free is great.

They have memberships for this too! You can pay $69.99 USD a month and you get one refill a month, or you can pay $110 USD and get 2 refills a month. If you need more refills you can pay a fee, which is cheaper if you are a member.  If you don’t want to be a member you can pay $89.99 USD per set.

My lash stylist recommended that for eyeliners, mascaras and shadows you use oil free and water based products. It’s hard to find eyeliners that are oil free and water based so I may just buy the eyeliner from ALS. As for mascara, I don’t need it so I won’t buy it. For shadows, it’s pretty hard, I looked at a few palettes, and most of them have some type of oil in it. When I go in next time to get my refill I am going to ask about the shadows. She did say, if it doesn’t come off easy with the cleanser, then don’t put it near your lashes.
