First I want to explain my blogging absence for the past week, I was away on a weekend away and was super busy with work and packing. I am also picking up 2 shifts a week at my old job, so I apologize in advanced if my posts aren’t consistent. I was posting basically 5 days a week and would love to get back to that. I also manage another blog, so it’s a little difficult to balance 2 blogs, work full time, and work 2 extra days a week, but I will be trying my best to get as much content out there as possible!
Now let’s get back to makeup 🙂
I love cat eye-liner. I think it’s so classy. I can rock that mascara and foundation and be set for the day. It’s such a pretty, simple but beautiful look.
My only issue? I couldn’t EVER get my lines even, straight, or looking pretty. I tried stencils, and they still didn’t work right with my eyes. It’s also an issue because I use glasses, so finding the right position for the stencil was hard.
But look no further. I found a solution. The Eyeliner Stamp- by Vogue Effects 10mm Classic. You can check it out here. I paid $12.99 USD for it back in April and it’s still working super well for me.
First, this eyeliner is so pigmented, it is such a dark deep black, which I love. It is super easy to make a tight-line because of its thin tip.
So what I do first is I stamp the wing on. I find this is easier so I can make the line blend seamlessly with the wing. So all you have to do is stamp it! Sometimes it’s a little hard to actually get them even- but 99.5% of the time I do! So stamp your eyes then use the other side of the pen and draw your line connecting the line and wing.
The color doesn’t budge either. I have super oily lids so I put the UD primer and eyeshadow and this and it stays all day. Lasting 10+ hours in the Jersey heat and my oily skin. The only thing that really takes it off is my makeup remover.
It’s great if you want a little wing- or you can even adjust it and drag it out to make it longer. It’s a great starter, especially for someone like me who still can’t master a wing!
The only issue I had was the cap got stuck, so the whole eye-liner came apart, leaving me my sink and hands filled with eyeliner. But don’t worry, I contacted customer service, and they said some products were problematic, but they fixed here from here on out. They replied super fast too.
It’s hard to completely see the wing because of my glasses but you sorta can! It takes me less than 5 minutes to do perfect wings, which is amazing for me in the morning. I can sleep in 5 extra minutes 😉 They are the perfect size for a little wing for work.
What is your wing trick? Let me know in the comments!
