For as long as I can remember, my eyeliner had to be black. No, not charcoal, it had to be carbon fiber black and super pigmented. Yes, I’m trying to break that habit (I’ll post about that later) but this post will be about the Pretty Vulgar Eyeliner I received in my May BoxyCharm.
It retails for $24.00 and can be found here.
This high pigmented, water-resistant gel eyeliner is enriched with vitamin C to condition the lids. It has a creamy smooth consistency that will make doing wings or lines super easy.
Lately, I have just been doing black eyeliner on my eyelid with a felt tip liner, or wings with these amazing stamps I got (that I will review at a later time).
When I got this in my Boxycharm, I was so excited to use it. First, the packaging is adorable. It looks like an ink dipper. It is a solid black container with a gold top and gold label.
It is such a deep black color and is super creamy. At first, it is a little difficult to work with. I am not used to such a creamy gel! But once you do it a few days it is super easy to use. My goal is to make a wing eyeliner with this (and I suck at wings) but I feel like the texture will make it easy. Although it is super creamy, it dries to a matte which is perfect for me.
A little goes a long way with this eyeliner. I seriously just dab a little bit on the brush to get a nice tight-line. So I can see this lasting awhile.
The one thing I didn’t like was the deep black container. I know when I get to the bottom of the container it will be hard for me to see exactly where I am and how much I have left.
Overall I would recommend this eye-liner. It’s long lasting, pigmented, and has an adorable container.
What’s your favorite eye-liner?
xo,
Melissa

Do you use an angled brush or a MAC 210 kind of brush?

I use an angled brush I got in my boxycharm! The aesthetica pro series -eyeliner brushes! The time tipped and angled one 😁
