I have great news today. I found AMAZING lippies that are such a reasonable price.

I actually wanted to try this lipstick for a long time, but what pushed me over the edge is when I saw Christen Dominique used it in one of her full drugstore makeup faces. (I’m a die-hard Christen fan- I just bought her lemonade collection–heart eyes and screams)

Anywho I feel like people don’t hype up drugstore makeup. Well, this post will be alllll hype up. The Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink is one of the best things I own, and I keep reaching back to it. I want it in every.single.color.

I first got this product in the shade in “Lover” first, then I went ahead and got it in “Amazonian” because I loved it that much.

I apply this lippie at 7:30 a.m and I swear it stays on. It barely comes off during the day. The color is so pigmented, and it goes on very smooth. It doesn’t make my lips feel dry, and it feels like I’m not wearing lipstick! It is also very true to color which I like.

The packaging is clean and simple, perfect for throwing in a makeup bag, clutch or purse. It doesn’t take much room. It has a white top with the words “Superstay Matte Ink” while the body is the actual lipstick color. It has square edges too giving it a chic style.

I also love the applicator. It is the most perfect wand ever. It has a pointy end so you can perfect your cupids bow, it’s also perfect for having the perfect outline for your lips. It always gives me that nice, clean, and polished finish. I don’t even have to go over more than twice maximum, and I only do that because I go over my edges for a perfect liner.

Two downsides (which I don’t consider to be that bad) are that it is a little difficult to take off. Meaning, the only thing, so far, that has really taken it off easily at night is the DR. JART+Dermaclear™ Micro Water which you can purchase here (I’ll do a review on this later because I am obsessed). I tried it with a Neutrogena water makeup remover, and it took a bit of rubbing to get it fully off.

The other downside is that it takes a little bit to dry. I mean you can fully function talking wise, but it may feel a little sticky. I try to just let it dry for 4 minutes (5 if you want to be safe). I just don’t recommend eating during this time.  The drying time can also be positive, it gives time for you to correct any mistakes. Again, it’s not the biggest downside, and it actually comes in handy when I’m rushing in the morning.

Some people say they notice a sticky feeling all day. To be honest, I haven’t felt that! It may be because I am so used to so many lip products, that I have grown accustom to the feeling.

If you haven’t tried this lipstick I seriously suggest to go out and get it.
