Another week down, and while it wasn’t my best, it certainly wasn’t my worst. This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions and physical challenges. From battling stomach troubles to managing stress, it’s been a tough one. But as I reflect on my progress, I’ve realized that even when things aren’t perfect, there are still small victories to celebrate.
This week, I learned firsthand that my wellness journey is more than just dropping numbers on a scale. It’s a holistic journey encompassing physical, mental, and emotional well-being. While I faced setbacks in my nutrition goals, I prioritized other aspects of a healthy lifestyle, such as fitness and hydration.
By showing up for myself and making conscious choices, I’ve discovered that sustainable weight loss is about finding balance and progress, not perfection. It’s okay to have bad weeks; what matters is getting back on track and continuing to strive for a healthier lifestyle.
One thing I learned this week, is it’s okay if my journey is a long one. This week was rough all around, both physically and mentally. It was super stressful, and I was super snacky which made putting my best foot forward at all times, difficult.
All that aside and looking at my chart below, I realized that I am still proud I managed to show up to Alpha Fit 4 times. I’m proud I went on walks or did a Peloton ride. I’m proud I lost .7 ounces. My chart doesn’t show that I met a lot of my goals, and that’s okay. There were my other victories. I ate foods that wouldn’t make my stomach more upset (which was a bit more carb-heavy) but I healed. I actually drank 60+ ounces of water each day and met that goal.
This whole lifestyle change is more than just a bad week because we will have a lot of those in life. This lifestyle change means that even if you have a bad week, you still try to make the best of what you can do.

This new week is now a fresh start. We did some grocery shopping, full of meats, lots of vegetables, and sides. We bought some sides from H-Mart like pickled radishes and squid. I’m going to make a spicy cucumber salad which I can share in next week’s recipe. We have some dinners planned at home, and I’ll try and take photos to share in my next post. This week I’m going to try and work on my diet a bit more by incorporating more protein and fewer carbs. I am still going to try and maintain my workout goal of Alpha Fit 3-4x a week with a walk on at least 5 days too.
Remember, this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be ups and downs, good weeks and bad. The key is consistency and kindness to yourself. I’m excited to see what progress I can make this week, and I hope this post inspires you to keep going, no matter what challenges come your way. Let’s support each other on this path to a healthier lifestyle!
Now I’m off to make some more of my Egg Bites that I referenced in my last blog post!
