I have been trying to learn more about aluminum free deodorants for the past few months. I was doing research and trying to find the best one out there. Why? Because there have been studies that show aluminum in deodorant is actually bad for you. Our armpits are pores and we are putting aluminum  in our bodies.

I want to start off by saying i’m not a doctor, but these are just things I take into consideration. These two sites help me try and find my way to see if this was a good option for me, and allowed me to weigh the pros and cons of different deodorants.

My experience:

The first time I used it I was super nervous! That’s because it was Easter, I wore a dress but stayed inside all day, and honestly I felt like I smelled and that my underarms felt really wet. God bess my mom, she said I was okay after a smell test but I really didn’t like that feeling. The next day I was determined to try it again, and honestly, it was a lot better. I don’t know if there is a “purge” stage but that’s what it felt like. After that one day I feel like I’ve been normal! The deodorant stood up walking fast more than 2 hours. It withstood hot 85 degree weather in Jersey, It withstood the humidity here in Jersey! It really has been put to the test and I have been LOVING it.

It doesn’t irritate my underarms like other non aluminum deodorant do because it has a low amount of baking soda! This is made with a clay. They do have a SILK version that doesn’t contain any baking soda if that does irritate you!

I will say that the consistency does tug a little on my underarms, but I figured out a way of applying that doesn’t irritate me, I just rub back and forth, which sort of warms up the deodorant and it helps!

Overall I love this deodorant and I will continue to buy from ZionHealth!
