Hey All!

I have some really exciting news to share! All Things Fashion & Beauty had a recent makeover, along with all of my other platforms!

Here’s a little breakdown on what I have changed:

Marble Background Theme:  I wanted something different. I had the marble design in mind, but I just needed something bright and white. Well, I finally found it! I use Picmonkey on the daily for video edits, for photo edits and basically any graphics edit I needed to be done. They had the marble design that I wanted (bright) and I was able to use their site to really make my idea come true.

My blog layout: I knew I needed to update my blog months ago. I just didn’t want to update my blog without having a new icon and I wanted to have a general idea of what I wanted. Well, I finally found it! This new layout is just so sleek, and clean and has a lot of white. I wanted white and bright so my photos would pop. Thankfully after searching nonstop for a layout, I fell in love with the LAST one I tried. I was so nervous I wouldn’t find one. But I did! Thank goodness! LOL. I love how the photos look a little faded like an ombre design because that adds a bit of dimension, but the titles pop out at you!

My WordPress Picture/ Facebook Picture for my Page You guys can check out my new logo, just look at my avatar on here! So I decided I needed a change. I loved my old pink logo, but I wanted something a little different. I feel like my new logo is just fresh and chic and just overall what I wanted! I wanted to showcase the name of my brand, yes,
All Things Fashion & Beauty but Melissa Rivera too! I also wanted to incorporate some makeup and fashion icons as well. So this was just a great combination of all the things I wanted.

WordPress Banner: I wanted to make my own banner, aka Header Image. I never had one before, so I thought why not do it now? I wanted to incorporate my name, and my fashion blog, makeup icons, Instagram page, Family name and add in a photo of me. I know a lot. But, I wanted people to really see what my blog was about when they opened up my page. The only thing is, when you are on your phone you can’t see it. I think that’s just to make it easier for mobile users. It basically looks exactly like my banners on my other social media, but with the makeup logo and pictures of me.

My Youtube Banner: I have been putting this off for SOO long but it needed to get done. To be honest I didn’t know what I liked. All I knew was that I wanted it to be white and bright and my information had to pop! Well, guys, this banner is literally what I wanted. It has a marble design- which is something I am obsessed with lately- it is a white/grey and it is bright. So I wanted my name to be visible in this because, yes I am trying to brand myself but I needed to incorporate All Things Fashion and Beauty too.

My Facebook Banner/Twitter Cover: So I needed a Facebook banner photo for the longest time. Before I didn’t have one! I thought my ideal version would be just a background of all my makeup. But the more I thought about it, I didn’t like it. I wanted my page banner to be consistent with my other themes (which I was still trying to decide). Well, one I figured out my marble theme, I knew it had to be on Facebook too! I wanted my Facebook, Twitter and Youtube channel banner to be similar. I didn’t want to focus so much on adding all of my social media out there like I do with my end tag. Because on Facebook and Twitter you can see my other socials by reading my Bio. As far as videos you can see them in my newsfeed and my blog posts are all over my Facebook too! So I just wanted to share my name, my “family name” my blog name, and just my one Instagram.

End of Video Social Media Tag: So you guys have seen my old social media tag at the end of each video (if you guys have watched my videos). Before I had a marble design but it seemed a tad bit too dark. Well guys, I finally got that nice and bright logo I wanted. The best news? I made it myself! I used the site Picmonkey and found the background I wanted, and simply plugged in my social media, added a nice trim and then put in a photo of me! I wanted you guys to be able to quickly find me at the end of my videos if you wanted to give me a follow.

My presets for Instagram: So I have been toying around with the idea of getting new presets. I actually bought one off of Etsy for lightroom! I actually don’t have a post using it right now- but guys it’s coming! I wanted something to make my colors pop, and my photos just look more so cohesive. I will be using my presets for my normal photos, and when it comes to makeup I will use no filter so you guys can really see the pigments of the products! I don’t want anything altering that view!

Instagram highlights: So you guys know, I have story highlights like most bloggers do. I just changed mine again! Mine used to be pink, which matched my previous layout colors for my blog, but now you guessed it. The background is marble just with some cute black icons! You can use Picmonkey to do this. Just create your background and choose a logo, and then send it to yourself, save on your computer and then you hold onto your highlight cover, then click edit highlight, choose the photo image and select an image from your phone’s photos! Boom all done! Fairly easy! I love how the marble and black really match with all of my other themes.

Family name: I have been thinking about making a family name for my followers, audience, readers, and viewers. I wanted to incorporate my blog. Only because I use my blog daily and my blog’s name is All Things Fashion & Beauty. I didn’t want this to be the one random thing that was not Melissa Rivera. SO I decided to make the decision to make my family name “ATFB”. Yes, it does seem like a little bit of a mouthful to say but to be honest, it’s okay because that’s just me! LOL. It really just helps every mesh together.

Overall you guys can see my theme for right now is bright, white, crisp, sleek with as much as a marble design I can put in! Let me know how you like this update and all the other ones!
