I received the LAURA GELLER – BAKED BLUSH – N – BRIGHTEN in my September Boxy Charm. It retails for $28 USD. Check it out here.
Per Boxy Charm it is described as, “Add a gorgeous, glowy flush to your cheeks with this baked blush. Stunning swirls of liquid pigments are baked in Italy for 24 hours on terracotta tiles and hand-finished into a silky dome of powder. This smooth and longwearing formula is paraben free, and infused with skin-loving antioxidants.”
I am just becoming a huge blush lover. I used to hate blush because I didn’t know, 1-how to apply it, 2- which colors were good for me, 3- I didn’t want it to enhance any texture. Well, I was wrong on all my 3 excuses.
It super easy to apply blush, apply it to the apples of your cheeks and go back or you can start past the apples of your cheeks and bring it back. All colors look good, I love the pinks and the corals the most. But 100% go in with a light hand and then build up the color. Lastly, I try and stay away from any blush that has any illumination, because that is what enhances my texture, not the blush itself.
When I first opened this up, I was super nervous it was going to illuminate my skin and make me look oily, enhance my pores, and even acne. But I went ahead and tried it.
The color is subtle which I like, it is definitely blendable and buildable. It doesn’t look too much. I don’t look oily or greasy, it just gives me a nice glow. It doesn’t even enhance any acne! It looks like a natural flush. The color is long-lasting too, I apply it during the day and it stays on until night time!
Overall I am so happy I tried this blush. It isn’t something I would reach for normally so I am happy Boxy Charm pushed me past my comfort zone.
