I love Ole Henriksen so much. I have his truth serum and the banana eye cream and am on my second container of both.
This mask is great for all skin tones and Sephora describes it as, “a detoxifying, cooling clay mask that instantly reduces the look of pores, smooths skin texture, and controls oil all day. ”
This mask retails at Sephora for $36 USD but I cashed in my rewards and tried a sample size of this. Check it out here.
Sephora also describes it as, “Take the plunge for smaller-looking pores—instantly. Deeply purify and diminish pores with an exhilarating chill. Inspired by the “cold plunge” part of a Scandinavian sauna cycle, this cooling clay mask detoxifies, controls oil, and reduces the look of pores. The innovative formula harnesses the power of alpine willow herb and snow lotus—antioxidant-rich botanicals that have adapted to thrive in extreme cold—to soothe, mattify, and refine pores. Add cool water, and the turquoise clay mask thaws into a luxurious lather that sweeps away excess oil and impurities. With AHA and BHA, the mask unveils dramatically improved skin texture. Balance is restored as Green Fusion Complex™ and neem seed oil help replenish the skin and you see a refreshed, refined and purified Ole Glow®.”
Directions:
-Apply an even layer to clean, dry face.
-Leave on for 15 minutes.
-Add cool water to lather and rinse off.
-Follow with the Ole Henriksen toner, serum, or moisturizer of your choice.
-Use two to three times per week.
The color of the mask itself was a fun turquoise color. It wasn’t very thick, but it was super easy to apply an overall even layer to my face.
When it was on my face I felt a cooling sensation nothing too strong or crazy. It sort of had a mint scent and reminded me of the perfect spa mask.
After I took it off, I realized it did help to clean some of my pores. I was battling with a white head, and after I used this mask the whitehead came out. I realized it did help my oiliness because my face was less oily for a few hours. It is a good mask to invest in if you have oily skin.
I did notice that my blackheads on my nose weren’t cleared that much, but I think after a few more uses it will help clear that up.
I liked how when I had to take it off after 15 minutes I didn’t have to scrub at my face, it came off super easily and did not irritate. My skin instantly felt smoother.
If you have oily skin or large pores I definitely recommend using this product.
What’s your favorite pore minimizing mask?
