Luna Foreo

IMG_9859I received the Foreo Luna Fofo in my FabFitFun Summer Box. It retails for $89 USD. You can purchase it here.
I was so excited to try this and it seriously lived up to my expectation.  It is described by FabFitFun as a “cleansing brush that analyzes skin for customized cleansing. Powered by artificial intelligence, it builds a beauty routine that is uniquely – you. It uses advanced sensors to measure skin moisture levels and matches these with our quiz to set a personalized routine that is right for you.”

It requires AA batteries. You can download the app  “FOREO” on your phones app store and get the details sent straight to your phone. Man, I love technology. It seems to be the at-home version of the Sephora Skin IQ You can learn more about the Luna Fofo here.

I know I’m late to the game testing the Foreo Luna Fofo, but there have been so many products that I have been trying I didn’t want anything disrupting this review.

Point blank I’m in love with this thing, and I don’t think I can wash my face without it anymore.

But let me give you the rundown in my Beta version (First image). First, you create a profile and connect your FOREO device. It will ask you for the basics, your age, name, and email address. After you do that, it will want to analyze your skin. You press the FOREO against your skin, it will tell you to touch your left cheek, right cheek, forehead, and nose and when to take it off. After it does, it will give you a summary. For example, it will have an outline of a person’s face,  and it will state what moisture level your skin is at. It will also tell you your skin type, and then your skin age. I thought the skin age was the most amazing feature.

It keeps track of how many times a day you use it and also coaches you through the analyzing and cleansing routine.

Then you clean your face, and it tells you what area to clean and for how long. The vibrations are also different for certain areas. For example, my forehead’s vibrations and stronger than my cheeks.

In the Second Image, it shows my routine. It shows my skin score- I am not sure what that means. It shows what areas of your face to wash and then how long to wash it. It also shows the moisture in you’re skin and then your skin age. The end of the day I lost 2 years off my skin age? I’m not sure how they measure that.

One thing I do wish is that if you wanted to analyze your skin you didn’t have to always pair it. I have to pair when washing so it knows I wash my face twice a day- which seems to be silly- otherwise it thinks I wash my face once a day and that casues the analitics to be messed up. I wish when you turned on the device it went straight to your phone if you have your Bluetooth on. I also wish it explained what each thing means because now there is no explanation. Why is my skin score 61/100? What makes it go up and down? Again this could be because this is the Beta version, but I would have thought the final version would be up by now. It hasb een more than 3 months.

Other than that,  I love this product. I have seen a huge improvement in my skin. When I use my acne wipes I see NO dirt. I use my regular cleansers, and my skin seems softer, smoother, glowy and overall healthier.

Have you used this? What are your thoughts?

xo,
Melissa
