Another wear test coming at you guys! I have been searching for a good B.B. cream since my Garnier one didn’t turn out as expected. So I went searching on Sephora and found DR. JART+ BB Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm- Wear Test. It is made for combination and oily skin. I ordered the shade medium to deep skintones with neutral undertones.
You can check it out here. It retails for $36.00 USD.
I know I have been doing a lot of foundation wear tests lately. It has been my nitch lately. I made a vow not to buy any other foundation/bb/cc cream until the IT Cosmetics CC Cream Matte comes out July 27! I have been a HUGE fan of IT Cosmetics CC Cream- but it made my skin too oily after a year. So This is amazing news for me.
Here’s a breakdown of my process:

So first, I use the TOO FACED Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer which retails for $32 USD for a regular size and $15 USD for a mini. You can find it here. It is “a cooling, mattifying primer that blurs, smooths, and brightens the complexion”. It says it “offers up to 12 hours of shine control, lasts up to 16 hours and smells like peaches and cream”. I use about 1 pump of this primer. It does have a light peach and cream smell, nothing too strong.
Next, I applied the DR. JART+ BB Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm. I used my hands for this. It applied very easily, and the consistency was pretty thick! I went on so smooth, and the coverage was actually better than I expected. I went over my nose area twice, but it covered any redness or texture.
Then, I used the TOO FACED Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder. You can find it here and it retails for $32 USD. It is a “lightweight and comfortable, mattifying loose powder in a universal peach tint.” Apparently, this powder is great for, under eye baking, I have not tried that yet.

I stuck to my Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray. Find it here. I swear by this, no matter what foundation/primer/powder I used, this setting spray made SUCH a huge difference.
7:50 a.m. It applied really nice. It was a little thick but very smooth. I noticed in photos it does my make skin look great. But it is not drying or flat at all.
10:21 a.m. It’s cold but humid in my office right now so my skins feeling funky. It still looks great, but I sort of feel it sitting on my skin. In photos, it really does help blur my skin. I noticed there is a lot of transfer- when blowing my nose it looked like a lot came off on the tissue, or when rubbing against white tissues some comes off. It is not too noticeable on the skin though- meaning it still looks even.

12:30 p.m My skin is starting to get a tiny bit oily on my forehead, cheeks, and chin. But it still has great coverage both in person and on camera.
3:00 p.m. SSo now my face is extremely oily. You can see all of my texture, and it is wearing off a lot. My pores are looking very big. I am blotting now to see how it will hold up all day. It still feels super lightweight and not like my oils are sitting on top of my b.b. cream.
Update: It looks a lot better after I set it with a pressed powder from IT Cosmetics. I look a lot less oily.
5:00 p.m. II’m really oily already. I see all of my texture, and my pores look pretty big. My mom noticed too and asked when I blotted. Not a good sign!
6:00 p.m. It’s starting to come off in places, so it looks cakey and looks really oily. I’m not a big fan.

I took my makeup off around 7. It was just too oily and a big mess, I didn’t want to break out from all the oil and such.
Overall I don’t recommend this BB cream if you’re pretty oily like me. Which doesn’t make sense because it’s made for combo/oily skin. Another BB cream down for me. It did blend very nice, but it was thick, made me produce too much oil, and you saw my texture and pores, a big no-no for me. It’s starting to come off in places, so it looks cakey and looks really oily. I’m not a big fan.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
xo,
Melissa
