In my June BoxyCharm box I received:

Sol de Janerio Brazilian Bum Bum Cream  (travel size) which retails for $10.00 USD. You can find it here.
I have been wanting to try this out for the longest time and now thanks to Boxycharm I can! Boxycharm describes it as “Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is inspired by the Brazilians favorite feature – the bum bum! It’s creamy and rich in Guarana, a native Amazonian plant whose fruit contains one of the most potent forms of caffeine. The fast-absorbing texture contains just enough mica to add a perfect Brazilian glow, as the formula helps your body look and feel its smoothest and tightest. Pistachio caramel leaves skin delicately fragranced”
I am so excited to try this! I hope the travel size can show a little difference.

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick which retails for $20.00 USD. You can find it here.
As you all know I’m a lippie junkie.  I am so excited to try this lipstick! After reading reviews, this lipstick is supposed to last all day. The color is a perfect everyday nude/brown color.

Jonteblu Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil which retails for $5.00 USD. You can find it here.
I love eyeliner, pencils, liquids, gel, cream, felt tip. All of them. I am so excited to try this. I received the shade charcoal, which is perfect for me because I usually always have black eyeliner on. Part of me wants to venture out, but more about that later!

Luxie 3 Piece Flawless Complexion Set which retails for $38.00 USD. You can find it here.
I have so many brushes but a gal can’t ever have too many. This set includes:
Precision Foundation Face Brush 660 – perfect for applying both powder and liquid foundations
Tapered Highlighting Face Brush 522 – it is a fluffy, tapered brush perfect to apply powder highlighter or to set your under eye makeup.
Duo Fiber Powder Brush 516 – perfect to apply cream or powder makeup for a softer, flawless finish

I do like how each brush is labeled with its name. I find that useful when I am looking for a specific type of brush. I wish more brushes did this.

Battington Monroe Silk Lashes which retails for $28.00 USD. You can find it here.
I love the look of false eyelashes, but I can’t put on false eyelashes for the life of me. These lashes also don’t come with glue (cue sad face) so I ordered some glue from Ulta. Once my glue comes in, and I watch a LOT of tutorials, I will try them.

Alamar Reina Del Caribe which retails for $28.00 USD. You can find it here.
I am so so excited to try this palette. It features 8 highly opaque shades, which remind some people of Cuba. They have both matte and metallic shades. Boxycharm recommends,
“for a more intense application, refer to the shade names that feature a water droplet that can be used with a wet brush—the sun symbol, for application with a dry brush.”
I don’t think I have ever used a wet brush for eye-shadow! But guess what? Now I will! The colors are perfect for summer, I can’t wait to plan an outfit and rock this palette.

This Boxycharm box retails for $129 USD and you can pay just $21 USD a month for a great box! What a great deal. I technically got this box for $19.66 a month, because I signed up for 3 months.

So far, I am loving BoxyCharm! I used to be subscribed to ipsy, but they always sent neutral colored items that were travel sized. I like palettes and bigger items a lot better than travel size. For example, it was hard for me to try out a hair mask in one use. I have so much hair that one small tube didn’t cover half my hair. They also sent out a lot of face products that just weren’t right for my skin at the time. I was struggling with acne and had super oily skin so I could not test out products. I’m lucky that I can now. They didn’t help get me out of my comfort zone like BoxyCharm has so far. Like I said, ipsy got me so used to neutral tones, while BoxyCharm sends me a fun eye-shadow palette.

What do you like, BoxyCharm or ipsy? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I have been hesitant to sign up for BoxyCharm but JUST did because of your two posts on it!! That’s so much money you save and the products look amazing. I have been enjoying ipsy less and less the past few months, as I feel like they have started sending me products I specifically do not have checked off on my beauty preferences :/ So this will be a nice change!

    1. Yay!!! I am happy you joined the BoxyCharm team!! 😀 You usually get a full palette every month which is awesome! I felt that way with ipsy as well, the products really didn’t suit me/my needs. Let me know how you like your first box when you receive it!

      1. I’m also glad that BoxyCharm seems to have primarily full sized items! I’ll definitely let you know how I like it!!
