Influenster Maybelline Shine Compulsion Box

My love for trying new products like make-up or skincare started because of Influenster. IMG_9731I recently received the Influenster Maybelline Shine Compulsion Box.  Inside the box, I received one Color Sensational® Shine Compulsion Lipstick in the shade Pink Fetish and the Color Sensational® Shaping Lip Liner in the shade Very Cherry.

The liner creates a fully defined lip look that helps the lipstick stay put.

On the site it says to apply the liner like so:
Step 1: Define a Cupid’s Bow: Draw an X at the top center of lips.

Step 2: Outline Outer Lips: Slightly overdraw at your natural lip line.
Step 3: Contour Inside Lips: Softly use the liner in your lip corners and center of lip curves.
Step 4: Fill: Start from the center of your lips and fill in with Color Sensational® Lip Color

The pigmented lipstick is filled with a lot of hydration, vibrant color, and an ultra-shiny finish. It comes in 10 shades from nude to red.IMG_9734

On the site, it says to:

Step 1: Apply lipstick in the center of your upper lip and follow the contours of your mouth.
Step 2: Glide the lipstick across the entire bottom lip
IMG_9735The pigmentation of the lipstick and liner are amazing. When I first uncapped the lipstick I thought it was going to be way too bright. But when I swatched the lipstick it’s actually a nice red that’s not too in your face! I feel like I can pull this off for work or even a night out. This lipstick really does have a nice shine! It’s also very hydrating and has a nice smooth application.
The liner is super smooth too and so easy to apply. The pigmentation of this liner also rocks. The lip liner under the lipstick will create an eye-catching look that won’t fade.
I wrote this blog post about 2 hours after I swatched the liner and lipstick. The lipstick color faded into more of a stain but the liner is staying strong and won’t budge.
I would love to get this lipstick and liner in different colors! That is also saying a lot because I don’t like reapplying lipstick, but the texture, pigmentation, and hydration are amazing in both the liner and lipstick.

Update as of 6/4. I applied the liner then the lipstick over my lips at 8 a.m. it is now 9 p.m. and it is still on my lips, faded like a stain. I will be purchasing more of this combo!
