Are Kylie Matte Lipsticks really worth the hype? Yes, they really are. I’m basically Kylie’s biggest lippie customer. I have creams, velvets, singles, liners, lip kits, mattes. I also have her highlighter, eyeliner and an eyeshadow creme (to be reviewed later). Check out her website here. Today we’re focusing on the Matte Liquid Lip Kit.

As you all know, I love lipstick that I can put on in the morning and take off at night. Mattes are usually my go to because of how long they last and Kylie’s matte liquid lipsticks last a long time.

My current favorite shade is Angel. Check it out here. This shade is a mauvy pink. Like stated on her site, it originally launched as part of  the limited edition Kylie’s Holiday 2016 collection, and again as part of her  limited edition Birthday 2017 collection.

Inside a lip kit you will find:

• 1 Matte Liquid Lipstick (0.11 fl oz.)
• 1 Pencil Lip Liner (net wt. .03 oz/ 1.0g)

A kit will cost you $29.00. Which is not bad, compared to buying a MAC lipstick which will cost you about $18.50, and a MAC lip pencil which will cost about $18.00. Totaling that cost to $36.50.

This lipstick does not dry out your lips at all! I found with most mattes I feel the thickness sitting on top of my lips, not this one! This one doesn’t even crack against your lips which is fantastic. It’s super smooth and lightweight.

I usually apply my Kylie matte lipstick early in the morning, before work, around 7:45 a.m. and literally, I wipe the lipstick remaining off at the end of the day. I don’t reapply this lipstick throughout the day. I have proof don’t worry!

The only area of my lip where I could reapply the lipstick would be the center part of my lips, the waterline per say. And I would only reapply it after work if I had something to do after.

I took a photo of my lips at 7:45 a.m. and again after lunch, so around 1:30 p.m. and another at 5:00 p.m.  7:45 a.m. my lips are looking perfect. At 1:30 p.m. you can see not a lot of lipstick faded off, and this was after drinking 2 water bottles, a tea and a pasta lunch. At 5:00 p.m. you can see how the center inner part of the lipstick is starting to fade a little bit. That is, after fruits and more water. The fading is not bad on Kylie’s Mattes lipstick at all. All of the matte lip kits have the same results for me.
