I partnered up with lou lou boutiques for a special project which I hold dear to my heart. During the month of May, lou lou boutiques launched their Pashminas for Patients Project. Buy One Pashmina and a free Pashmina will be given to a cancer patient at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Virginia and Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, and Maryland, at the beginning of June.
Read more about this project here. The article explains what a Pashmina scarf is, how they are made and how to wear them. I have worn it as a scarf, in my hair, or even as a shawl.
Growing up I have lost a lot of loved ones with cancer and have luckily, seen many survive. During each treatment I saw how difficult it was for my family and friends to loose their hair, or how uncomfortable they were in general. They would get embarrassed going out, would refer to their head as always cold, or would buy wigs and be itchy and miserable. Pashminas for Patients Project hit home to me because a few of my family members wore fun colored scarves on their head to avoid wigs, being embarrassed or cold.
This project allows me to help a cancer patient feel a little better, feel a tiny bit comfier, and bring some fun color to their life. Please check out lou lou boutiques’ Pashminas for Patients Project and order your Pashmina to help a cancer patient today, here.

Melissa
